15.Bring Humour Into Your Life:
Organise events and occasions that make you laugh from your heart. Share jokes with your family, watch a humorous film, tell your colleagues funny incidents. Do activities which amuse you and others around you.
16.Accept People As They Are- Even Your Spouse:
Don't expect people to change around you. Wish your husband would help with some chores, if your kids would lower the music volume, etc. When this does not happen, we are disheartened and keep complaining. This makes our relationship with these people negative. Accept people as they are. When they see your unconditional love for them, they will try their best to do things that will please you.
17. Be Grateful:
Appreciate people you are dependent on. Your family, friends, relatives, neighbours and even people who serve you such as servants, shopkeepers etc. Show them your gratefulness by appreciating all that they do for you. Forget your differences for once, rather than struggle against those differences. Remember, gratitude, inner peace, and happiness go hand in hand.
18. Stop Blaming Others:
We always blame others for everything that goes wrong. It is always someone else's fault. Others are responsible for our frustration, stress, and unhappiness. Don't we have any control on our lives, our frame of mind is dependent on the actions and behavior of others. For a change hold yourself responsible for your mistakes, for circumstances and for your life. Take charge of your own happiness.
19. Make Someone Else's Day Happier:
Everyday, resolve to do at least one thing, which will make someone else happy. Give a frock to your maid's daughter or offer your seat to someone who needs it. Often these unnoticed acts of kindness, will fill your heart with warmth that glows all day long. And before long, become your way of life. But don't talk about the good deed to anyone. It is just for your self.
20. Tell Your Family And Friends That You Love Them:
Everyone loves their family and friends, and get love us in return. But often we shy or too stiff to tell them how much we love them. Don't hesitate, let them know how you feel. It is a heavenly feeling to hear them say the same words to you.
21. Keep A Diary:
Make it a habit to write down all the good things that happen to you during the day. Always keep a diary and pen with you. Writing down about the precious moments of your life, make them a part of our lives. The positive feeling comes back whenever we revisit happy moments through our diary.
So whenever you are unhappy, remember only you alone can make yourself happy.
