Heart Disorders:
The following are essential part of the diet- Wheat germ, soya beans and sunflower seeds. Apples, apricots, bananas, grapefruits, lemons, papaya, pomegranates, strawberries and watermelons are excellent for cardiac problems.
The skin and seeds of red grapes helps to lower the blood cholesterol.
Brinjals should be avoided as they cause blood cholesterol to rise.
Those who take medication for thinning of blood should avoid broccoli, egg yolk, spinach and cauliflower.
Food cooked in Olive oil should be use as it lowers the rate of heart attack.
Animal fats, dairy products, fried food, cola based aerated drinks, and hard water should be avoided.
Ulcer
Drink plenty of water and have fibrous food.
Juice of fresh cabbage helps in healing ulcer.
Food, which lowers the level of acidity like Cabbage, carrot, potatoes, bananas and papayas should be taken.
Alcohol, caffeine, carbonated drinks, chocolates, fats, fried foods, tobacco and cigarettes should be strictly avoided.
Diarrhoea
For 24 hours all solid food except rice and washed lentils should be avoided.
Caffeine, fats, nuts and processed foods, which are not easily digested should be avoided
If the disorder still prevails, avoid wheat and check for allergies, which can be caused by food too.
Apples, bananas, papayas, peaches, cooked cabbage and carrot can be taken.
Diabetes
All forms of fruit juices should be avoided.
Diet should include food rich in fibre and complex carbohydrates.
Processed foods, fried foods, soft drinks, refined flour and oil capsules should be avoided.
Weight control is very important.
