Brad Pitt may look and sound likea Generation X slacker, but he has workedhard for most of his adult life. Brad Pittwas born in Oklahoma and raised inSpringfield, Missouri.In high school Pittwas involved in sports, debating, studentgovernment and school musicals. Pitt studiedjournalism at the University of Missouriwith a focus on advertising (he occasionallyacted in fraternity shows). He left collegetwo credits short of graduating to move toCalifornia. Before he became successful atacting, Pitt supported himself by movingrefrigerators and dressing as a giantchicken while working for el Pollo Loco.After attracting attention as a magazine-admodel for Levi's, Pitt made his TV debut inDallas and his film debut in CuttingClass(1989). His first film role of note was asthe hitchiker in Thelma and Louise (1991).Since that time, Pitt has exhibited a rangeabove and beyond his ''Hey dude'' demeanor throughsuch films as A River Runs Through It (1993),True Romance (1993), Interview with the Vampire(1994), and Legends of the Fall (1994).

Producers from NBC were impressed with her charisma and sense of adventure, and asked her to sign on as host of a new reality show/game show called Dog Eat Dog. She readily took the position and has enjoyed great Nielsen ratings since its recent debut. Although her accomplishments are not walk-of-fame worthy, Burns has the wit and looks to last a long time on screen, whether it's small or silver. She is a natural athlete who excels as a swimmer having been trained by her father, a former national champion swimmer at SMU. In her spare time, Burns is a mentor for PennyLane, a residential home for abused children.
