Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is an annual secular holiday observed
in Canada and United States to celebrate being thankful a day of thanks.
In Canada, Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the second Monday in
October, on October 9th of this year (2006). In the United States,
Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November, which
this year (2006) is November 23rd.
