Skin Care Products And Their Ingredients:
How To Use Cream Bleach Safely And Effectively?
-
Always test for sensitivity before applying.
-
Never apply after a hot bath.
-
Don't use the mixture after 30 minutes of preparation as the effectiveness will wear off.
-
If you have cuts or abrasions, moles, skin disorders or make-up, wait at least 24 as it may cause a burning sensation or irritation. Wait for a couple of hours before applying an astringent.
-
Do not use metal dishes or spoons to prepare the mixture. It may cause chemical reactions in the ingredients.
-
Use for 15 minutes, if fair complexioned and 25-30 minutes, if dark complexioned.
-
Use once in 15 days. The lightening effect may not last too long as the skin is a living tissue, melanin is
produced continuously.
-
Keep containers tightly after use.
-
Always store the kit in a cool, dry and dark place away from excessive heat, since this could reduce its effectiveness.
Common Myths About Bleaching:
-
Bleach lightens hair color permanently: It lightens the hair above the skin's surface and does not affect the roots.
-
Bleaching Makes Hair Darker: Bleaching does not cause the hair to grow darker. The change may take place due medication, exposure to sun, ageing, pregnancy and menopause.
-
Increases Hair Growth: Sometimes hydrogen may stimulate the hair follicle causing hair to grow faster temporarily. But this is only a one-time stimulation. It does not promote growth.
-
Causes Skin Irritation: Bleaching is an exothermic reaction. As it gives out heat the skin may appear flushed. However, this is temporary and fades away in an hour or two. Apply ice or aloe vera based creams to make irritation fade faster.
Irritation may be caused due to:
-
Ultra sensitive skin.
-
Allergic reactions.
-
Interaction with other cosmetic products.
-
A pre-existing skin condition.
-
Improper mixing of creams (cream bleach).
Is Harmful To The Skin: Repeated use of bleach is safe and good. It cleans and makes the skin breathe easier. It also camouflages hair to match the skin color.
