Chic Bathing

Our grooming and beauty care regime begins in the bathroom. Bathing is not a chore, you should fresh after your bathe. Glowing and healthy is how your skin shouldbe after a bath. Personal freshness is fundamental for everyone. Your skin is always attacked by bacteria, when sweating starts it merges with the bacteria and causes body odor. Perspiration odor starts after the age of 10. The apocrine glands, found mainly under the arms and between the legs, develope.

Sometimies take time out and have a lazy bath. Make it a beauty treatment. Add bubble bath or aroma oils to the water, to make it soft and sweet smelling. Water can be softened by adding a large spoonful or borax or powdered water softener.

However the can be harmful if you stay in it too long. Soaking dries your skin and hot water is all the more drying. Twenty minutes is the longest you should linger, and 38o C(100 oF) is the highest temperature you should have the water. If you are not washing your hair, protect it with a shower cap, as the steam will make curly hair more frizzy or straight hair lank.

Things required for your bath
A luffa or mitt
Sponge
Back brush
Nail brush
Pumice stone
Body shampoo
Talcum powder
Body lotion

Rub yourself briskly but gently with a loofah and back brush. It improves blood circulation and helps in reducing blemishes.

Scrub your feet properly and use a pumice stone to get rid of dead cells. Due to the hot steam pores on your face will open up. It's best to get rid of black heads now, if you suffer it. Gently press them out with your fingertips and remove with a clean towel. You can experiment with the blackhead removal strips also.

Whil you are in the tub relax and apply a face mask. Do this once a week to get a radiant glow on your face.

If you don't want to use a facemask wash your face with face wash suited for your skin. For dry skin, apply moisturizer on your face and massage gently. The steam will help the moisturizer sink into the pores. Rub yourself dry with a soft towel after your bath. Again it's best to remove unwanted body hair now because the skin is soft and pores are open.

Use your own method of removing hair. It can be shaving, using an epilator, hair removing cream or lotion, waxing etc. Follow the instructions as some products may forbid usage after bath.

The skin needs moisturizing after bath. Even if you are careful about the time you spend in the bath and the temperature of the water. Use a moisturizer suited for your skin type. You can sprinkle talcum after moisturizing.

You can also give yourself a manicure and pedicure after your bath.
